Provenance and history

Jordan wore these shoes in Game 2 of the 1998 Finals, scoring 37 points in a 93–88 win over the Utah Jazz, in his last championship season with the Chicago Bulls. After the game he gave them to a Jazz ball boy as thanks for finding a lost jacket. They are the only complete pair of Finals-worn Jordan shoes photo-matched by the MeiGray Group, the NBA's authenticator. Sotheby's sold them in April 2023 for $2.2 million, a record for sneakers.
