Record

The House of Fabergé made the Royal Danish Egg as an Imperial Easter egg in 1903. Nicholas II of Russia commissioned the egg as an Easter gift. The egg was presented to Maria Feodorovna for Easter in 1903. The Imperial egg was made by Fabergé in Saint Petersburg (renamed Petrograd in 1914). The Fabergé Research location table listed this egg among the missing Imperial Easter eggs. Because the cited location record lists the egg as missing, no current owner or present location is identified here. The documented connections used for this entry are the House of Fabergé as maker, Nicholas II of Russia as commissioner, Maria Feodorovna as recipient, and Saint Petersburg as the place of manufacture.
